JDAM: The Precision Strike Revolution Bomb

Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM) is a guidance tail kit converts unguided, free-fall "dumb" bombs into accurate, all-weather "smart" Guided Bomb Units (GBU). These bombs cost much less than laser or television guided bombs. The tail section contains an inertial navigation system (INS) and global positioning system (GPS) guidance control unit. At the heart of JDAM lies its guidance system, which combines GPS and inertial navigation technologies to deliver unparalleled precision, regardless of weather conditions or enemy defenses.

JDAM's versatility extends across a wide range of missions and operational environments. Whether conducting counterterrorism operations, interdicting enemy supply lines, or providing close air support to ground forces, JDAM proves its effectiveness time and time again. Through real-world examples and interactive simulations, witness JDAM in action as it delivers devastatingly precise strikes against high-value targets, while minimizing collateral damage and civilian casualties.
